I’m Andy Mata – an artist on a mission. Searching for the soul in Yorkshire’s landscape, distilling it into line and colour - entrusting it to drawing and paint.
After completing a Fine Art degree course at Newcastle University, I misspent most of my working life in the printing industry, either in or around London. I retired at the end of 2019 and, during the Covid years, we relocated to North Yorkshire to enjoy a completely different lifestyle and allowing me to take up art once again.
